Matching Donations for Reglue Fund Raiser is a Go

Yesterday, we reported that a local business was considering matching up to $10,000.00 in donations for the current Reglue.org fund raiser.

We have just been notified that donation matching will indeed take place.  However, it is the wish of the entity matching the funds that they be identified as a single donor, and not a local business as previously reported.

As well, our benefactor will only match previous donations up to 7/29/2013 2:00 PM CST at 100% if we reach the maximum they will match.

That is ten thousand dollars.

If not, (s)he will match all donations from 7/29/2013 at 2:00 PM CST.

Donations can be made at the main Indiegogo site.  If you prefer a PayPal solution, you can donate via the yellow PayPal button on the left side of this page.

And if you don't have money to donate, you can always send us your old motherboards, outdated CPUs and RAM so we can take it to our precious metal scrap guy.  We gained 320.00 in funds last week just from the old components you guys sent us previously.

We chose the flexible donation plan at Indiegogo.com because we were not sure if our goal of 32K was possible.  Apparently, the Linux Community is fully capable of donating large amounts of money for things in which they believe.

Now we just need to find a way to cause you to believe in us.

All-Righty Then.....

i am slightly confused, they will match 10k when you reach which 100%? (of 32k, or of 10k?)

does it mean that when you reach 9.9k they will match 9.9k-3.5k=6.4k? but if you just get over 10k then they'll match the rest?

well, here is hoping!

greetings, eMBee.

Yeah. it was a bit confusing the way I worded it.

If we reach a total of 10K, (s)he has agreed to match all funds collected from day one up to 10K. If we don't, (s)he will match from their sign-on date until the end of the campaign....up to 10K reached from sign-on date.

So if we don't hit 10K when the campaign is ended, they will match all funding from the sign-on date to the end of the campaign.

In other words, if we only raise nine thousand dollars, the donor will match donations from the date of sign on to the end of the campaign.

I've been reading this blog for some time, but never commented before. The stuff you've gone through is amazing, I'm so impressed, you're a heck of a guy. Keep up the good work, best wishes.
