I think .....No install ... knew it had to be Java.

I think ... Java is just waiting to be 'rediscovered' as a viable (both productive and quite performant - now that computers are so fast) system for developing desktop applications - but a few omissions and problems hold it back. Let alone the almost insurmountable political issues now that Oracle are at the helm. Pity some of the gnu/linux distro's don't embrace it more.NotZedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09469760565180198154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33801994.post-12162063327625906252011-01-21T06:48:44.981-06:002011-01-21T06:48:44.981-06:00http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-10.10/getdeb-apps-i386/swee...http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-10.10/getdeb-apps-i386/sweethome3d_3.0-1~getdeb1_i386.deb.html

http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-10.10/getdeb-apps-amd64/sweethome3d_3.0-1~getdeb1_amd64.deb.html

All packaged and good to go !andreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06993669996849657416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33801994.post-10439639953848706932011-01-20T01:56:14.446-06:002011-01-20T01:56:14.446-06:00It's all java and if you use javaws (Java Web ...It's all java and if you use javaws (Java Web Start) you don't need any installation...
Just go to
http://www.sweethome3d.com/download.jsp
and click on web start linkAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33801994.post-23398659501212030392011-01-19T18:58:22.726-06:002011-01-19T18:58:22.726-06:00I'm like Skip. Sweethome 3D isn't either sets of repositories.

I needed this last summer but I didn't have sense enough to check sourceforge or google. I ended up using my uncle's computer on windows that had some complex, professional 3D CAD software. It was way overkill for my needs.

Thank you to Skip for providing this information. You can bet I will use sourceforge more in the future.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33801994.post-60116936981250639562011-01-19T18:50:59.871-06:002011-01-19T18:50:59.871-06:00I love this app. I've been looking for someth...I love this app. I've been looking for something like this for a while.
