As a keyboard player, I have used many synthesizers in Windows and Mac but this one has features the commercial ones do not.

The GUI is a mess though. Not very thought-out in my opinion but so goes the way of open source. I guess someone might fix it if it gets enough attention.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33801994.post-11677785134771676662010-09-29T12:42:11.754-05:002010-09-29T12:42:11.754-05:00Wow, I just spent the evening trying to plug my ni...Wow, I just spent the evening trying to plug my niece's M-Audio USB keyboard on her Linux desktop and installed ZynAddSufFX!!!

I bought a cheap Yamaha usb keyboard and it worked plug and play on my machine. Again, we are finding hardware that won't play nice as opposed to software that tries to.

No arguments on the sound issues though. They've been a PITA for far too long. PulseAudio seems to be the wrench in the works for many gamers and hardware makers. I also replaced the navigation bar with a metacity theme called areo-dark. The icons remain the same found in Dark Linux.
